Time
I can't believe it has been over a week since I posted. Usually I have so many things to post about - but right now I am just tired.
Since the retreat I have done the following:
Monday - Guild officers meeting (Bluebonnet Guild)
Wednesday - had to choose between dinner with a bunch of knitters and a hubby's soccer game (guess what won - knitting won this one)
Thursday - Knitting meetup
Saturday - Knitting meeting in afternoon, dinner with knitting friend that night
Sunday - Church, Bead show, Knitting at Stars Hockey game
Monday - dinner with father-in-law & daughter-in-law
Tuesday - knitting meet up or dinner with in-laws (same ones plus some, knitting lost this time!)
Wednesday - tonight.
Of course I have been working 9-10 hour days.
I have been extremely busy. During the four hours I was home this last weekend, I did laundry, took care of pets, took the trash to the curb & did the rest of the regular household chores. I haven't had a chance to just sit and relax in a while. I am too busy going!! Don't get me wrong - I am loving seeing friends and doing things - but I think I have over-extended. And I don't know how much knitting I get done at the knitting meetups - but it isn't much!!
So - this weekend I am going to stay at home (and dye yarn and probably try to spin again). I am going to work in my garden and just enjoy the days. I will NOT be traveling anywhere to do anything. Of course my door is always open and if friends decide to stop by - GREAT!!! But I will not be pulling myself away.
I have some yarn that I want to reskein and see how it looks. It is variagated dyed & I want to see how it will look reskeined. I have some undyed yarn that is just BEGGING to be dyed. I haven't worked on Betty Boops blanket in a few days and I need to catch up a little on that. I will work on "My (Oceanside) so-called Scarf" I like to call it "Oceanside" because of the color. It just reminds me of the ocean. I want to look through my patterns and get them organized in binders so that I can FIND them.
I will be centering myself here at home with my family and friends.
and yarn.
